Thats right, Google just fell over.
And no, my typeing ‘Google‘ into Google didn’t cause it, any search I conduct returns the results with every single page link having the message “This site may harm your computer.”
Google fail, it’s epic and you know it.
Google Search Engine’s Malware Detection Broken
Update
Google and StopBadware.org have both responded to the problem.
Google has admitted that human error was to blame, more specifically, the URL of ‘/’ was mistakenly checked in as a value
in their database.
Ummmm – hate to tell you, but google is not causing that – your computer is infected with a virus that does that. Im a PC tech and I see this all the time. The virus thats in your computer will not allow you to go to any antivirus / security web sites either. Try going to symantec, mcafee etc – you wont be able to.
Hope you can get it cleared up – its not easy to remove!
Sorry RJ but your wrong, Google has admitted (http://googleblog.blogspot.com/2009/01/this-site-may-harm-your-computer-on.html) in their own blog that human error on their part was to blame.
Ah – ok – Ive seen viruses do that too. At least your computer isnt infected! 🙂
