Well, I have finished the move to WordPress, well as much as can be at this point, right now I’m still looking for 404 errors (broken links) in the site that point to things I may have missed. Must admit that Googles Webmaster Tools has been helpful at finding the links from other sites that link into my site, this give me to opportunity to redirect them to the right place. (Don’t want to miss out on those inbound links)

WordPress
Thursday, April 8th, 2010Hello world!
Monday, April 5th, 2010Welcome to WordPress. This is your first post in WordPress.
So I’ve moved my Blog to WordPress, there is going to be lots of work though as Nucleus CMS is a pain to convert to any other format. After much pain and effort changing the RSS feed to export the entire site and then make sure every post works and displays all it’s content (the most time consuming part having to check each post), Finding that it’s missed posts with extended content, copying any image I have displayed over to WordPress and it’s directory structure.
If you seeing this as a WordPress blog then it’s been a success, not a total fucking waste of time.

Some people have reported receiving this phone number via email also.

Tuesday, September 16th, 2008I’ve always wanted to know what were a photographers rights when it comes to taking photos in a public place. I’ve seen videos and articles that don’t apply to Australia, and to be honest I bet most people in Australia don’t know.
The general gist of it is:
It is generally possible to take photographs in a public place without asking permission. This extends to taking photographs of buildings, sites and people.
If you want to read about this then you should check out the Street Photographers Rights page at the Arts Law Centre of Australia.
Meaning of a Name (Gustav)
Sunday, August 31st, 2008Most people would be aware that a Hurricane that has been named Gustav is currently moving into the Gulf of Mexico and there is currently lots of media attention on New Orleans. Most of the news is about evacuations and stuff like that given that the City is built foolishly close to sea level, in lots of cases below sea level. (New Orleans Elevation Map).
Now here is the fun part I did a little search for ‘Gustav’, and Wikipedia came up with a wonderful result:
Gustav, Gustaf or Gustave (meaning “staff of the gods”)
The name is an old Swedish name, and their have been at least six Swedish kings with the name.
So all I can say now is, for the love of god get out now will you still can because the” Staff of the gods” is coming.
For more information on the name Gustav you can read the article Gustav (name) on Wikipedia
